Good, steady day...

Wade came through and I hooked him up with a butcher/chef inspired piece. It's a cut diagram of a Pig and a Cow with their Latin names. They're side by side and were super fun to do. Thanks Wade!
Alex also came to town to do some antiquing with his wife Nikki. It was a pleasure seeing him and he left with this piece that I whipped up last night.

All in all, a good day. I'm dog tired and can't wait to get home.

New Tattoos, Memory Lane

So Aaron came through for his third traditional jammer on his arm. It's always fun when he comes through because he just picks out sweet stuff from old tattoo books and is like "Yo, I want this." and I hook it up. This particular piece, granted it isn't flashy (old traditional tattoos didn't have much bells and whistles - just bold awesome imagery), was designed by Captain Coleman, redrawn by Sailor Jerry Swallow (not to be confused with Jerry Collins) and tattooed by yours truly. I got to try out a new yellow as well. Needless to say I'll be ordering a big ass bottle of it.

Josh came through too and I hooked him up with this dead bird on his chest. He brought a friend of his who's a roller coaster and skydiving enthusiast. We reminisced on Houston's Astroworld. a Six Flags theme park that was demolished back in 2007. Growing up in Houston, every kid's visited that park at least a dozen times. He got me hip to where a lot of the rides are at now, and it's sad because many of them are just sitting in pieces. R.I.P. Astroworld. I'll cherish the memories of starched down jeans and pagers like it was yesterday.

I have some tattoos on deck today. Nothing super crazy. The weather up here got super nice and there's rumor that it's all about to stop yet again. Fuck Ohio's weather.

6 Tattoos, 10 hours, Busy Day.

Some of the pieces... It was such a busy day. I miss days like these. Days so busy that 12 hours passes by like a fraction of a second. Did some sweet stuff all in all and had a good time, especially since the day started off less than awesome.

This guy came through after I had an issue arise that resulted in the cancellation of an appointment. I was in a bummer mood and he came in wanting a piece of Sailor Jerry Swallow flash. It was like the powers-that-be sent me a blessing. "Look dude, we know today started off shitty. Here's a fun one. Have at it." is what I imagined them saying. And I did. He'll be coming through tomorrow for a Pirate piece from the same Jerry Swallow book.

So the girlfriend is leaving for North Carolina tomorrow morning to work for a week. I'm bummed. I'll try to make up for her absense by being busy and productive. Lisa, if you're reading this... I love you. Travel safe. I'll miss you.

New Paintings (I'm still alive)

I've been on an illustrative tip lately. Needed to be in all honesty. I have some sweet tattoos unfinished and roaming around healing. Hopefully get to flick those soon. Hope you enjoy these.
